Proposals of TDSL Central Committee prioritize cross-Strait relations

The Central Committee of the Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League (TDSL) will submit 27 proposals to the upcoming second session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), prioritizing national economic and social development and peaceful advance of cross-Strait relations, according to a press briefing held by the TDSL Central Committee on Feb 26.

The proposals of the TDSL Central Committee focus on four areas, namely persistent promotion of peaceful development of cross-Strait relations, facilitating high-quality economic growth, devoting continuous attention to the progress of science, education, culture and health undertakings and social governance, and sustained following of the country's ecological protection and rural vitalization.

Officials of the TDSL Central Committee said that the league attaches great importance to the preparation of proposals and the 27 proposals to be submitted have been sorted out from over 6,000 suggestions by the TDSL, and result from its participation in the deliberation and administration of State affairs in promoting the Chinese modernization, accelerating integrated cross-Strait development, and advancing peaceful reunification of the motherland.
