Su Hui, vice-chairwoman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, visited several Taiwan-funded enterprises in Beijing on Jan 31, during which she extended holiday greetings and good wishes for the Chinese New Year to representatives of Taiwan entrepreneurs. 

Su, also chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League (TDSL), said that over the past year, facing complex and severe external environments and arduous tasks of pursuing reform, development, and stability, the TDSL has actively promoted the restoration of cross-Strait exchanges, and Taiwan compatriots and enterprises have continued to have a positive outlook on the Chinese mainland market, with the number of projects and total amount of investment by Taiwan businesses on the mainland significantly increasing and cross-Strait trade volume remaining high. 

Su expressed the hope that Taiwan entrepreneurs will continue to play their bridging role, contribute their strength to deepening cross-Strait integrated development, and facilitating bonding between people on the Chinese mainland and Taiwan compatriots. 

Li Yuefeng, executive vice-chairman of the TDSL Central Committee, stressed that the TDSL will continue to support the development of Taiwan-funded enterprises on the mainland, fulfill its duty to solve their problems and create a better business environment. Li expressed the hope that Taiwan entrepreneurs  can seize the strategic opportunities of national development, and actively integrate into the new development paradigm to achieve greater progress. 

Representatives of Taiwan entrepreneurs said that they will fully leverage their advantages to make new contributions to boosting cross-Strait integrated growth, and advancing economic and cultural exchanges and cooperation.
