The 16th Central Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party held its second plenary session in Beijing on Dec 13. Jiang Zuojun, vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee and chairman of the China Zhi Gong Party Central Committee, delivered the 2023 work report on behalf of the standing committee of the party's central committee. 

Jiang said that in 2023, the first year of fully implementing the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress, the China Zhi Gong Party has taken the implementation of the plans formulated by its 16th national congress as its main tasks, and achieved a good start to the work of the party's 16th Central Committee through theoretical learning and performing their duties. 

Jiang called on Zhi Gong Party members to refine their ideological and political work, and upgrade the ability and level of participation in and deliberation of State affairs, focusing on promoting high-quality development. He underscored the importance of facilitating more exchange activities with overseas Chinese to pool their wisdom and strengths to serve national diplomacy. He also noted the urgency to continuously do a good job in rural vitalization assistance programs and improve the effectiveness of social services.
