The second plenary session of the 13th China Democratic League (CDL) Central Committee was held in Beijing on Dec 5. Ding Zhongli, chairman of the CDL Central Committee, delivered a work report on behalf of the Standing Committee of the 13th CDL Central Committee. 

Ding said that the CDL has formulated a five-year plan (2023-27) for promoting its self-development based on the central work of the country and the key tasks assigned by the 13th CDL National Congress, and has made new progress on all fronts. 

Ding pledged to further strengthen self-development, to enhance the ability and quality of participating in the administration of State affairs and proposals, and to fulfill the CDL's duties of democratic supervision.
