Wang Yong, vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, led a delegation to Northeast Vietnam's Quang Ninh province from Nov 27 to Dec 1 to participate in the second friendship exchange event between the CPPCC National Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee and between Chinese and Vietnamese provincial border regions, at the invitation of the VFF Central Committee. 

During the visit, Wang held talks with leaders of the central committees of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the VFF. 

Wang said that China and Vietnam are good neighbors, friends, comrades and partners connected by mountains and rivers and share the same destiny. This exchange event is a practical action to implement the key consensus reached between the top leaders of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the CPV, and a concrete arrangement upon the joint decision between Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee Wang Huning and President of the VFF Central Committee Do Van Chien, he said, expressing his belief that the exchange activity will further consolidate the traditional friendship and deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two countries. 

Wang briefed the Vietnamese side on the promotion of Chinese modernization, the development of whole-process people's democracy in China, and the multi-party cooperation and political consultation system led by the CPC. He expressed the hope that both sides would strengthen mutual learning and make contributions to the building of a strategic China-Vietnam community with a shared future. 

Vietnamese attendees lauded China's achievements in State governance and economic and social development in the new era, and said that the VFF will actively learn from the experience of the CPPCC in fulfilling its duties, and jointly boost the stable and healthy development of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China.
