The 2023 State-owned assets and State-owned enterprises high-quality development summit, alongside the ninth State governance summit, was held recently in Beijing, gathering representatives from political, business and academic circles to pool their wisdom for the high-quality development of SOEs.

In his remarks at the event, Wang Yong, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, urged all SOEs to fully implement the important instructions on the high-quality development of SOEs, take the lead in enforcing the decisions and plans of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, push for the implementation of reform tasks, advance the transformation and upgrading of the industrial structure, and hold on to the internationalized development path while better coordinating development and security, in a bid to contribute more to the building of a modern socialist powerhouse.
