A team from the Central Committee of the Jiusan Society, headed by its Executive Vice-chairman Shao Hong, recently conducted a survey on the assessment and cultivation of high-caliber innovative talents at universities in Tianjin, in a move to promote the implementation of the national strategy of reinvigorating China through developing human resources.
The team visited the National Key Laboratory of Medical and Industrial Integration at Tianjin University, and learned about the progress in disciplinary development, talent cultivation, scientific research layout, key scientific research achievements and relevant industrial transformation of the university‘s medical department. The team also attended a symposium and conducted in-depth exchanges with experts and scholars from Tianjin University, Nankai University and the Tianjin University of Technology.
Shao, also vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, said that as an important part of the national innovation system, Chinese universities play a crucial role in accelerating the implementation of the country's innovation-driven development strategy and the building of a talent contingent.
He noted that the Jiusan Society will continue to focus on in-depth research on key issues, such as the building of first-class teaching staff in universities, and will strive to produce high-quality research results that can serve as reference for decision-making and policy implementation of relevant authorities.
