The Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang (RCCK) held a National Day reception under the name of the China Zhongshan Cultural Exchange Association to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China on Sept 28. Zheng Jianbang, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and chairman of the RCCK Central Committee, attended and addressed the event. 

Zheng said that the Communist Party of China (CPC) has united and led the Chinese people of all ethnic groups to stand up and get strong over the past 74 years. Solving the Taiwan question and achieving complete reunification of the motherland is the common aspiration of all Chinese people and an inevitable requirement for achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. 

Zheng noted that as one of the eight political parties in China participating in state affairs under the leadership of the CPC, the RCCK has inherited and carried forward Sun Yat-sen's spirit of patriotism, revolution and continuous improvement, and has always been committed to the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, with the promotion of the peaceful reunification of the motherland as the focus of its work. 

He added that the RCCK has established extensive contacts and carried out various forms of exchanges with compatriots from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, and overseas Chinese and communities who oppose separatist forces and support the reunification of the motherland. He called for greater efforts to unite under the CPC’s leadership  and contribute to the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics and realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. 

He Baoxiang, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and executive vice-chairman of the RCCK Central Committee, together with nearly 100 compatriots from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao, as well as overseas Chinese nationals, attended the event.
