He Baoxiang surveys deepening China-Africa economic and trade cooperation in Hunan

He Baoxiang, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and executive vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang (RCCK), led a team to Central China's Hunan province from Sept 23 to 26, to survey the development of institutional opening-up in the local China-Africa Economic and Trade Pilot Zone. 

During the survey, he highlighted the importance of conducting in-depth research on the problems and countermeasures in China-Africa economic and trade cooperation, and persisting in deepening institutional reform and innovation to boost the construction of the pilot zone. He called for further efforts to focus on institutional opening-up, improve supporting policies and measures in key areas of international exchanges and cooperation such as investment, trade, finance, and innovation, make full use of national platforms such as free trade zones and expos, and strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation with all parts of the country in trade with Africa. 

He also underlined the necessity to advance professional service capabilities, build information platforms to meet the needs of trade, investment, and communication, as well as enhance the strength in risk prevention and control in the opening-up drive.
