The First Business Conference on Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development kicked off in Macao on Sept 14. Ho Hau wah, vice-chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. 

Ho said that as a major national strategy, the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) has seen significant progress since the release of its outline development plan in 2019. 

He expressed his hope that conference attendees will actively play their part in the GBA's development and jointly build a brighter future for the area. 

Co-hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, and the governments of Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions, the event gathered more than 1,000 representatives of domestic and overseas government agencies and business communities.
