The ninth China Council for the Promotion of Peaceful National Reunification (CCPPNR) held its 10th executive meeting in Beijing on Aug 31. Su Hui, vice-chairperson of the 14th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee  and vice-chairperson of the CCPPNR, presided over the meeting. 

Su said that the CCPPNR has held high the banner of patriotism, and fully performed its role as a bridge to promote the peaceful reunification of the motherland. She expressed sincere gratitude and high respect to all members of the board of directors of the ninth CCPPNR council for their contributions, expressing her sincere hopes that all CCPPNR members will continue to shoulder the mission entrusted by the times and make new and greater contributions to promoting the process of peaceful national reunification and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. 

The meeting heard a report on the preparation for the first council meeting of the 10th CCPPNR, and reviewed and approved a series of documents, including the draft of the ninth council's work report, the personnel matters related to the 10th council, the trial measures on fund management, as well as the decisions to establish  honorary directors and to adjust specialized committees.
