A special training course on studying and implementing the whole-process people's democracy for members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) at all levels was launched on Aug 28, in Beidaihe, North China's Hebei province.
At the course's opening, Bater, vice-chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, urged CPPCC members to study the central leadership's key statements on whole-process people's democracy, and accurately understand its rich connotations and significance and the requirements for practicing it.
He stressed the overall leadership of the Communist Party of China over the CPPCC and called on CPPCC members to improve their performance of duty to play an important role in driving the development of whole-process people's democracy, and pool wisdom and strength in building a modern socialist country and promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
More than 190 participants, including chairpersons and vice-chairpersons of the CPPCC committees at provincial and sub-provincial levels, as well as cadres of the CPPCC National Committee, attended the training course.
