The 2023 China Shanxi (Jincheng) Healthcare Industry Development Conference opened in Jincheng, North China's Shanxi province, on Aug 25. 

He Baoxiang, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and executive vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang (RCCK), attended and addressed the event. 

He said that the report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China called for efforts to promote the deep integration of culture and tourism, highlighting the right course of convergent development for the culture, tourism, and healthcare industries. 

Since this year, the tourism industry has gathered great momentum of recovery, showcasing large potential for the development of the healthcare-related cultural tourism industry. He urged the Shanxi provincial and Jincheng municipal governments to take the conference as a new starting point to actively implement the Healthy China Initiative, better coordinate the development of culture, tourism, and healthcare undertakings with overall local industrial transformation and rural vitalization, and accelerate healthcare promotion and the growth of industry clusters to establish a "Shanxi model" for the country's healthcare industry. 

He said that the RCCK Central Committee will continue to play its role to assist in advancing the Healthy China Initiative, and give impetus to the high-quality development of the healthcare industry. 

Themed on whole-domain healthcare and cluster development, the event was composed of one opening session, eight sub-forums, and other themed activities.
