The 13th Standing Committee of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) held its first session in Zhengzhou, capital of Central China's Henan province, from July 26 to 27.
In his report delivered to the meeting, Gao Yunlong, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and chairman of the ACFIC, said that the ACFIC has made vigorous efforts to boost the confidence of private entrepreneurs, guide them to fulfill their social responsibilities and advance high-quality development of the private economy in the first half of this year. The various undertakings in promoting the healthy development of the non-public sector and the people working in the sector have also made new outcomes, he added.
Gao stressed that the guideline on boosting growth of the private economy issued recently by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China should be thoroughly understood and seriously implemented. He called for further efforts to support private enterprises in advancing technological innovation and digital transformation, develop specialty industries to promote rural vitalization, and facilitate private enterprises' efforts to "go global".
He also called for collaborative efforts to enhance protection of the property rights of private enterprises and the rights and interests of entrepreneurs in accordance with the law, and to push forward the reform and development of ACFIC and its affiliated chambers of commerce to greet the 70th anniversary of the founding of the ACFIC with outstanding performances.
