Wang Dongfeng, vice-chairman and secretary-general of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), led a research team of the CPPCC National Committee to survey in East China's Anhui province from July 4 to 5.

The research team visited the No 38 Research Institute of the China Electronics Technology Group Corporation and the community culture workshop of local CPPCC members of Shushan district's innovation center in the province's capital city of Hefei. During the trip in Lu'an city, they visited the Zizhulin community consultation center of Yu'an district, and the city's government affairs service center.

The team also visited local CPPCC members of national, provincial, municipal and county-level committees to listen to their introductions on duty performance, and held symposiums to exchange views with leaders of local CPPCC committees on research topics and high-quality development.

The team pointed out that CPPCC committees at all levels should take the implementation of the central leadership's instructions on the work of the CPPCC and the decisions and plans of the CPC Central Committee as a major political task. CPPCC members at all levels must unswervingly serve the overall interests of the Party and the country, make suggestions for local social and economic development, adhere to high-quality development, and effectively improve the effectiveness of consultations. Efforts should be made to unswervingly promote innovative development, adopt a people-centered development approach, and guide CPPCC members to perform their duties for the country and the people, and to actively serve the people.

On July 6, Wang also conducted a survey on the progress of rural vitalization in Shucheng county of Lu'an.
