China Zhi Gong Party conducts survey on supervision of eco-protection of Yangtze River in Anhui

Jiang Zuojun, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the Central Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party, recently led a research team of the party to survey the ecological and environmental protection of the Yangtze River in East China's Anhui province.

The research team visited the Xuejiawa Ecological Park, the Binjiang Wetland Park, the Luwei Bay, Magang Group, which is part of China Baowu Steel Group, in Ma'anshan city and the Shiwuli River Wetland in Hefei city, and held symposiums to discuss and exchange views with officials from the related departments of the Anhui provincial government, Hefei and five other cities along the Yangtze River.

Jiang said that this year is the third year of the democratic supervision of the Yangtze River's ecological and environmental protection. The China Zhi Gong Party will focus on the common problems and difficulties in the protection of the Yangtze River, give play to its advantages, help solve problems, and promote the ecological and environmental protection of the river.
