Xian Hui, vice-chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met with a delegation of the Hong Kong Federation of Women (HKFW) in Beijing on May 22.

Xian said that the federation has united and led women from all walks of life in Hong Kong to give firm support to the administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) according to the law, and has vigorously promoted the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

She spoke highly of the HKFW's contributions to promoting Hong Kong's long-term prosperity and stability since its establishment 30 years ago.

She encouraged sisters from the federation to continue to play a positive role in promoting national economic and social development, and in maintaining the long-term prosperity and stability of Hong Kong.

She urged federation members to unswervingly uphold the "one country, two systems" policy, and advance all-around exchanges and integration between Hong Kong and the mainland.

Janice Choi, head of the delegation and vice-chairperson and honorary president of HKFW, said that the federation will strive to work more effectively in guiding local women to better support the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
