Wang Yong, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, attended and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the third China-Central and Eastern European Countries Expo and International Consumer Goods Fair, which opened in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province, on May 16.

Wang pointed out that in recent years, the economic and trade cooperation between China and CEE countries has yielded fruitful results through the joint efforts of all parties involved.

Noting that this year marks the start of the second decade of cooperation between China and CEE countries, Wang said that China is willing to work together with all parties to promote the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative, continuously unleash the potential of cooperation, and make joint efforts to further boost the steady and practical cooperation between China and CEE countries.

On the afternoon of May 15, Wang also attended the opening ceremony of the seventh meeting of the China-CEE Countries Joint Chamber of Commerce, where he expressed the hope that the joint chamber of commerce will continue to play its role as a bridge and make positive contributions to promoting friendly exchanges and deepening cooperation between the two sides.
