A team of the Committee on Culture, Historical Data and Studies of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee visited Central China's Hunan province and South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region from May 5 to 12, to conduct a survey on implementing the national culture digitization strategy and promoting the high-quality development of the local digital culture industry.

The survey team visited radio and TV authorities, cultural units, museums, cultural relic sites, and village and town organizations in Changsha, Changde and Yueyang cities in Hunan, and Nanning, Liuzhou and Guilin cities in Guangxi.

The team held symposiums to learn local situation is on implementing the national culture digitization strategy and developing the local digital culture industry, as well as to exchange views with participants.

The team said that the development of digital technology has not only profoundly changed the production mode and communication pattern of cultural products, but also provided new opportunities for cultural development.

At present, cultural digitization has been highlighted as a national strategy.

In 2022, China issued guidelines on promoting the implementation of the national cultural digitization strategy, mapping out an overall plan for the country's cultural digitization.

During the survey, the team stressed that promoting the high-quality development of the digital culture industry is of great significance in developing a strong socialist culture and is aimed at meeting the ever-growing needs of the people for a better life. More efforts should be made to overcome the difficulties and solve the problems in this regard.
