Shen Yueyue, vice-chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and president of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), met with a delegation from the Hong Kong Fujian Women's Association during its visit to Beijing on May 7.

Shen said that the CPC Central Committee has attached great importance to the development of Hong Kong, and the report to the 20th CPC National Congress has drawn a grand blueprint for promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through the Chinese path to modernization and has opened up bright prospects for Hong Kong to maintain its prosperity and stability, and provided a solid guarantee for the sustained success of the "one country, two systems" principle.

Shen praised the association for its courage and positive actions in maintaining national security and stability in Hong Kong, connecting and serving women in the region's communities, and its efforts in supporting poverty alleviation and disaster relief work, as well as actively carrying out practical exchanges and cooperation with women on the Chinese mainland.

She also encouraged sisters from the association to continue to unswervingly adhere to the "one country, two systems" principle, actively integrate their efforts into overall national development, and make new contributions to the prosperity and stability of Hong Kong, as well as national rejuvenation.
