A publicity team for the key and special work of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee held a meeting in Beijing on Dec 22, 2022, to promote the study, publicity and implementation of the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

During the event, An Ting, a member of the CPPCC National Committee and chairman of Beijing Xiken International Culture and Arts Corporation, gave a speech on exploring cultural essence in the new era with concrete efforts. He related the fulfillment of duties and relevant work experience to share his thinking and gains in the midst of studying and implementing the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the CPC.

Wei Xiaodong, chairman of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPPCC, presided over the conference. He noted that the capital city should redouble its efforts to push for the building of a national political, cultural, scientific and technological innovation and international exchange center, fulfill its duties in serving the CPC Central Committee, the State Council and the Central Military Commission, as well as in promoting the development of international exchanges, science and technology, and education, and improving people's wellbeing, and meet the expectation of the people for a better life.

Wei called on the committees of the CPPCC at different levels in the city and their members to fully grasp the opportunities brought by the conference to deepen their understanding of the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress, use their learning results in leveraging the role of the CPPCC as a political consultative institution, make proposals, forge consensus, and pool wisdom and strength for the building of a national cultural center.

Since its establishment in 2018, the publicity team has held 68 promotional activities on 16 topics, including at the committees of the CPPCC in 31 provincial-level regions.
