Gu Shengzu holds videoconference with speaker of House of Assembly of Dominica

Gu Shengzu, vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, held a meeting with Joseph Isaac, speaker of the House of Assembly of Dominica, via video link on Nov 23.

Gu said that China and Dominica are good friends enjoying mutual respect, equality and mutual benefits, with fruitful results achieved in cooperation across various fields.

He noted that China is ready to work with Dominica to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, and to actively put into effect the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative for the building a more peaceful, secure and prosperous world.

He added that the CPPCC National Committee is willing to have close communication with the House of Assembly of Dominica to boost bilateral win-win cooperation and move forward Chin's relations with Dominica and other Caribbean countries.

Gu briefed Isaac on the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), which was held in October.

Isaac said that Dominica adheres to the one-China principle and appreciates the valuable assistance provided by China for its economic and social development, adding  that the House of Assembly of Dominica is willing to strengthen exchanges with the CPPCC National Committee to help lift the bilateral ties to a higher level.
