The 12th Cross-Straits Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum, under the auspices of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, was held in Beihai, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on Nov 9.

Zheng Jianbang, vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, gave a speech via video link at the forum, which was hosted by the China Sun Yat-sen Cultural Exchange Association and organized by the Guangxi Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang (RCCK) and the Guangxi Overseas Friendship Association.

Zheng, also executive vice-chairman of the RCCK Central Committee, hailed the role of the forum in enhancing mutual understanding, building trust, and pooling resources among young people from the two sides of the Taiwan Straits.

Noting that the mainland is creating a new development pattern and pursuing high-quality development, Zheng called for young people from Taiwan to seize this golden opportunity and combine personal goals with the great dream of achieving national rejuvenation.

The forum included keynote speeches, discussions, an investment promotion of Beihai's projects, and the launch of a start-up financing platform.
