The Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League (TDSL) held a meeting to celebrate its 75th founding anniversary in Beijing on Nov 11.
Su Hui, chairwoman of the TDSL Central Committee, said the 75-year history is a history of close cooperation with the Communist Party of China (CPC), a history of resolute opposition to "Taiwan independence", and a history of promoting national reunification and rejuvenation.
Su, also vice-chairwoman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, called for efforts to firmly uphold the leadership of the CPC, implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, and continuously improve the performance in the deliberation and administration of State affairs.
She said that the TDSL will resolutely carry out the CPC's overall policy for resolving the Taiwan question in the new era, promote the integrated development of the two sides of the Taiwan Straits, and contribute more to building a modern socialist country in all respects.
