The Standing Committee of the 14th Central Committee of the Jiusan Society held its 19th session on Nov 2, to study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
The meeting, held in an online-onsite hybrid format, was presided over by Wu Weihua, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and was also attended by Shao Hong, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
Wu said that the report delivered at the 20th CPC National Congress has expounded on key issues, such as pursuing the Chinese path to modernization and opening new chapters in adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of the times, and also outlined goals, tasks and policies for the development of the CPC and the State in a scientific manner.
Wu, also chairman of the Jiusan Society Central Committee, called for efforts to unify thought and action in implementing the spirit, such as strengthening organization, making careful plans and taking specific measures.
He also urged the Jiusan Society to continue to enhance its political understanding and capacities and be a "good advisor, good aide and good colleague" to the CPC.
