The All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) held a meeting from Oct 25 to 26 for its cadres and leaders at different levels for the study and implementation of the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), which concluded in Beijing on Oct 22.

The meeting noted that the 20th CPC National Congress was a milestone event that has charted the course and provided fundamental guidelines for the endeavors of the Party and country on the new journey in the new era, and for the realization of the Second Centenary Goal.

The meeting stated that the study, publicity and implementation of the guiding principles is the primary political task of the ACFIC at present and for some time to come.

The ACFIC called on its cadres to profoundly understand the messages of the 20th CPC National Congress and the meaning and significance of the great changes over the past 10 years.

They were also urged to have a thorough understanding of the mission and task of comprehensively promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese modernization.

The attendees stressed at the meeting that the important statements on the healthy development of the non-public sector and those working in it made in the report to the 20th CPC National Congress should be well comprehended and understood. They stated that unwavering efforts should be made to promote the high-quality development of the private economy and build up ideals and beliefs among businesspeople, further optimizing business environment and guiding enterprises to strengthen the concept of the rule of law.

The meeting also urged industrial and commercial administrations, chambers of commerce and private enterprises to make good arrangements for the publicity of the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress concerning the development of China's private economy, and to resolutely implement the major decisions and arrangements of the 20th CPC National Congress on promoting the high-quality development of the private economy and the healthy growth of people in the private sector.

Gao Yunlong, vice-chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and chairman of the ACFIC, attended the meeting. Xu Lejiang, deputy head of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee and executive vice-chairman of the ACFIC, presided over the meeting.
