A delegation of the Committee on Proposals of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee visited the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) on Oct 11, as part of efforts to improve work related to proposals.

At a seminar held during the visit, Gao Yunlong, vice-chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and chairman of the ACFIC, said the federation plays dual roles of both putting forward and handling proposals and has actively made suggestions to advance the "two healthy" initiatives - the healthy development of the private economy and of personnel engaged in the sector.

Gao said that more efforts will be made to create a sound environment for the development of the private economy, and to pool wisdom and strength of those in the sector to contribute to the tasks established by the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

Li Zhiyong, chairman of the Committee on Proposals, said that the ACFIC has formed a good work mechanism and that the proposals it submitted have also played important roles.
