A delegation of the Committee on Proposals of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee visited the Central Committee of the Chinese Democratic League (CDL) on Oct 10, as part of efforts to improve work related to proposals.

At a seminar held during the visit, Chen Xiaoguang, vice-chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and executive vice-chairman of the CDL Central Committee, said that the CDL Central Committee has attached great importance to the work of proposals, highlighted proposals based on research and the contribution of CDL organizations at various levels and experts, and also raised the awareness of proposal quality.

He said that more efforts will be made to conduct in-depth research on topics associated with key development and opening-up strategies, and prepare proposals with unique insights and suggestions of the CDL.

Zhi Shuping, vice-chairman of the Committee on Proposals, said that the CDL Central Committee has formed effective practices to put forward proposals that embody its own characteristics.

He added that the Committee on Proposals will continue to do a good job in the organization of and services for proposals submitted by central committees of non-Communist parties and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce.
