The third session of a new publicity program by the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) was held in Beijing on Sept 29.

Ma Biao, vice-chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presided over the session, which was attended by vice-chairpersons of the CPPCC National Committee Su Hui, Gu Shengzu, and He Wei.

At the third session, five CPPCC members gave speeches on various topics including the achievements of China’s poverty alleviation program, giving priority to people's health, development of the wind power and shipbuilding industries, and the country's progress of undertakings for people with disabilities.

Ma pointed out that CPPCC members should raise awareness of these achievements and progress, and build a consensus on and harness positive energy for unity and progress in the new era.

In the publicity program, some 100 participants will share their personal experiences in performing their duties as members of the CPPCC National Committee and shed light on the historic achievements and changes in the country since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in 2012.
