Gao Yunlong, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), attended the 2nd RCEP Economic and Trade Cooperation Business Summit & Furthering RCEP Implementation Forum held in Nanning, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on Sept 16, via video link.
The event was jointly organized by the ASEAN Secretariat, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the people's government of Guangxi.
Gao, also chairman of the ACFIC, called for enterprises to make full use of the trade agreement to explore international markets, take the initiative to improve their competitive power, and strengthen communication with government departments in order to elevate public services facilitating the agreement's implementation.
He also said that the ACFIC, as a commercial organization primarily for private enterprises and entrepreneurs, will enhance its relations with business associations in RCEP member countries and deepen economic and trade cooperation.
During the event, 40 chambers of commerce and business associations from 15 RCEP member countries jointly released the Nanning initiative to put into action the agreement and advance regional economic integration.
