Xia Baolong, president of the Chinese side of the China-Russia Friendship Committee for Peace and Development (CRFCPD), held a videoconference with his Russian counterpart, Boris Titov, on July 6 to mark the 25th anniversary of the CRFCPD.

During the meeting, Xia, also vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, said that guided by the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, the CRFCPD will continue to promote people-to-people exchanges, deepen traditional friendships and contribute to development.

Titov said that Russia is willing to work with China to enable the CRFCPD to play a leading role in boosting exchanges between the people of the two countries, and make more achievements.

Xia was also presented the Order of Friendship by the Russian side.
