Liu Xincheng, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), recently led a survey in Anlong county, Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Liu, also executive vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy (CAPD), attended a symposium after learning about the CAPD Central Committee's paired assistance to the county. He appreciated the achievements made by the county in consolidating anti-poverty results and vitalizing rural areas.

He said that with the joint efforts of the organizations at all levels and members of the CAPD, the paired assistance task was completed.

Liu said the CAPD Central Committee will continue to give full play to the advantage of the multiparty cooperation and political consultation system under the leadership of the CPC, participate in Guizhou's economic and social progress, continue to support the reform and development of the province's Bijie Pilot Zone and Anlong county, facilitate rural vitalization, and contribute to their high-quality growth.

In his speech, he also stressed that the people-oriented principle, as well as safety and stability, should be valued in all of the CAPD's paired assistance work.
