The Chairman Summit of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) opened in Harbin, capital of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, on July 2.

The conference aimed to help promote the high-quality growth of Heilongjiang through the support of excellent private enterprises.

Gao Yunlong, vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee and chairman of the ACFIC, called on private enterprises to develop products and services up to world-leading standards with global competitiveness.

He encouraged them to seek innovation-driven growth, take part in making technological breakthroughs, improve enterprise governance, and promote commerce civilization with Chinese characteristics.

He expressed his expectations that private enterprises would "actively" respond to the national strategy,  participate in the reform of State-owned enterprises, give full play to their advantages of flexible mechanisms and high resource allocation efficiency, optimize the industrial structure, enhance the engine powering industrial development, improve industrial chain, jointly build advantageous industrial clusters, and empower the province's high-quality growth and realize its revitalization in an all-round way.

Gao also said he hopes governments at all levels in Heilongjiang can make persistent efforts to better stimulate market vitality, keep improving the business environment, and vigorously promote the private economy.
