The 12th Executive Committee of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) held its 9th meeting in Harbin, capital of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province on July 2 and 3.

Gao Yunlong, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), attended the meeting, which reviewed the ACFIC's work in the first half of the year and mapped out new plans.

Gao, also chairman of the ACFIC, hailed progress made in maintaining stable expectations in the private sector, advancing technology-driven development of private enterprises, and promoting fulfillment of corporate social responsibility and regulatory compliance.

He called for efforts to step up solid and proactive measures to help maintain a healthy economic environment, a stable social environment and a clean political environment.

The meeting also included seminars on drafting a report for the 13th ACFIC congress, revision of the ACFIC's charter, and Party-building efforts by chambers of commerce.
