Li Bin, vice-chairwoman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, led a survey on improving the ecological products' value realization mechanism in East China's Zhejiang province, from June 28 to 30.
The survey team, comprised of members of the Committee on Population, Resources and Environment of the CPPCC National Committee, made fact-finding field trips to villages and townships in Lishui city, learning about how the city is realizing ecological products' value.
Li spoke highly of the progress made by local governments in pursuing high-quality development while protecting the ecological environment, saying that building and improving the mechanism for realizing the value of ecological products is a key measure to advance ecological civilization construction.
She urged efforts to further improve the value evaluation mechanism of ecological products, build their scientific application scenarios, and promote the standardization and accuracy of ecological product value accounting methods.
She also highlighted the differentiation and diversity of the value realization paths of different ecological products, and suggested giving full play to the role of market mechanisms and government regulation, adjusting measures according to local conditions and implementing policies by classification, and constantly expanding the value transformation channels for low-carbon and high-quality development.
