He Wei, vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC)  National Committee, led a survey on improving  ecological products' value realization mechanism in East China's Jiangxi province from June 23 to 26.

The survey team, comprised of members of the Committee on Population, Resources and Environment of the CPPCC National Committee, made fact-finding field trips to five counties and districts of the city of Ganzhou to learn about ecological protection and restoration in the promotion of economic and social development, and various modes supporting the realization of ecological products' value.

He, also executive vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party,  spoke highly of the progress made by Jiangxi in improving the mechanism for realizing the value of ecological products, encouraging the province to make bold explorations and carry out pilot programs in this field.

He noted that efforts should be made to increase the supply of high-quality ecological products, promote the realization of ecological products' value through carbon trading and carbon sinks, develop more carbon sequestration and consumption modes in the context of achieving China's "dual carbon" goals of peaking carbon emissions by 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality by 2060.

He urged local officials to summarize pilot experience, establish a standard system for high-quality ecological products, build high-quality brands, develop green technology and personnel training, and draw investments from more channels.
