Lu Zhangong, vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, led a team to re-examine and survey the progress of East China's Anhui province in implementing the spirit of a central conference on the work of the CPPCC from June 6 to 9.

During their survey Lu and his team held symposiums in Hefei and Chuzhou and visited grassroots consultative platforms, learning about the implementation of the spirit of the Central Conference on CPPCC Work.

The team recognized the progress Anhui has made in implementing the spirit through theoretical studies, institutional improvement and work innovation.

The team pointed out that the re-examination tour is a key measure for strengthening and improving the CPPCC's work, as well as promoting the building of the CPPCC as a specialized consultative body in-depth. A better understanding of the conference's significance was also stressed by the team.

The team called on the platforms to make efforts to raise their political stance, strengthen coordination to further give full play to the CPPCC's role as a specialized consultative body, and better fulfill their duties to set the stage for the 20th National Congress of the CPC with concrete action.
