Gao Yunlong, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), attended the fifth meeting of the 12th All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) Executive Committee, which was held from Dec 21 to 22.
Gao, also chairman of the ACFIC, delivered a work report at the meeting, saying new progress was achieved on many fronts by the federation of industry and commerce at all levels in 2021, such as enhancing private entrepreneurs' conviction, promoting the high-quality development of the private economy, and improving the organization of the ACFIC for innovation-driven growth.
In mapping out the plan for 2022, Gao said the ACFIC will focus on an economic work guideline that prioritizes stability while pursuing progress, align efforts with the country's overall economic situation, encourage private entrepreneurs to stabilize their expectations and improve confidence, and actively implement an employment-first policy.
Gao also said efforts will be made to help small and medium-sized enterprises become more specialized and sophisticated with new and unique products, help prevent and dissolve risks faced by larger private enterprises, advance the 10,000 Enterprises Revitalizing 10,000 Villages program, and push forward the pilot reform of enterprise compliance and the corporate social credit system.
