A delegation led by Zheng Jianbang, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), visited the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) on Nov 25 to supervise the handling of key proposals including the one on in-depth survey of data resources to bolster e-government transition.

Zheng, also executive vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, said the visit combined consultations over proposal handling with face-to-face communication with relevant departments, which reflects the spirit of socialist consultative democracy.

Thanks to the visit, CPPCC members can better understand the work of the CAC, carry out more targeted researches, and improve quality of their proposals, while the department responsible for handling proposals can directly listen to the ideas of CPPCC members, become aware of their major concerns, and achieve new progress, according to Zheng.

Zheng said he hopes the CAC can align proposal handling with efforts to promote China's move toward digitalization.
