Gao Yunlong, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), attended the 14th China-LAC Business Summit held in Chongqing municipality on Nov 16. 

Gao, also chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), hailed the long history of friendship and pragmatic cooperation in various fields between China and Latin American and the Caribbean (LAC) countries. 

Gao said China is willing to strengthen cooperation with LAC countries in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, enhancing policy communication, elevating economic and trade relations, and deepening collaboration for innovation. 

Gao also met with diplomats of LAC countries in China and visited an exhibition that focused on China-LAC cooperation. 

The event was co-organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Chongqing Municipal Government and the People's Bank of China.
