Li Bin meets with Latin American and Caribbean diplomats in China

Li Bin, vice-chairwoman and secretary-general of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met with a group of ambassadors and other senior diplomats from 23 Latin American and Caribbean countries to China on Oct 21 in Beijing. 

Despite being thousands of miles apart, Li said, the peoples of those countries and China share the same thoughts and feelings with their traditional friendship renewing as time goes by. 

She noted that high-level exchanges between China and the Latin American and Caribbean states have been frequent in recent years and their relationships have maintained healthy and steady development momentum. 

She introduced the characteristics and advantages of the multiparty cooperation and political consultation system led by the Communist Party of China, saying that the CPPCC National Committee is willing to further deepen its ties with political organizations, relevant institutions and personages from all walks of life in Latin American and Caribbean states so as to contribute wisdom and strength to the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind. 

The diplomats expressed their appreciation for China’s development and political system, saying they expect to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the CPPCC National Committee and to further consolidate and develop their bilateral friendship.
