Zheng Jianbang, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), attended the 11th Cross-Straits Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum on Oct 12. 

The forum, held in Taiyuan of North China’s Shanxi province, was jointly organized by the Sun Yat-sen Cultural Exchange Association and the Association of Chinese Elite under the guidance of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council. It consisted of keynote speeches and dialogues. 

Zheng, also executive vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, said the mainland’s prosperity provides great development opportunities for Taiwan compatriots, especially young people. 

In recognizing the forum's outstanding role in facilitating cross-Straits exchanges, Zheng said he hopes young people on both sides of the Straits can stand side by side, aim high, prioritize great virtues, become great talents, shoulder great responsibilities, and contribute to national reunification and rejuvenation.
