Zheng Jianbang, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), called for more efforts to promote rural vitalization at the fourth Moganshan Meeting held in Huzhou of East China's Zhejiang province on Sept 25 and 26.
The meeting was jointly organized by the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang (RCCK) and the CPPCC Zhejiang Provincial Committee.
In his speech, Zheng, also executive vice-chairman of the RCCK Central Committee, said many achievements at the theoretical and practical levels have been made at the past three meetings held in Huzhou since 2018, providing suggestions for work concerning agriculture, rural areas and farmers, collectively referred to as "Sannong."
To comprehensively promote rural vitalization and advance the realization of common prosperity, Zheng said it's important to deepen reforms in rural areas, improve the market-based allocation of production factors, pool resources and share development dividends.
He said efforts should also be made to further integrate the development of urban and rural areas, give full play to the role of agricultural technology, provide professional service, and enable digital-driven modern governance.
