Gao Yunlong, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, has called on entrepreneurs from the Chinese mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao to enhance cooperation in sci-tech innovation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).
Gao, also chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), made the remarks at a forum on promoting economic and trade cooperation among the four sides on Aug 26.
He called on business communities across the Taiwan Straits and in the GBA to keep an open mind and strengthen their cooperation.
Gao said entrepreneurs from the Chinese mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao should make full use of their complementary advantages and seek new opportunities that are emerging from the ongoing scientific and technological revolution. He said he expects businesspeople to further deepen exchanges and cooperation and contribute to high-quality growth in the GBA.
The forum was jointly hosted by the ACFIC, Taiwan Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong and the Macao Chamber of Commerce.
