The group of personages without party affiliation of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee met to share their views on the history of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in Beijing on June 29.

It was pointed out at the meeting that the CPPCC National Committee has been promoting the Party history learning and education campaign since the CPC Central Committee launched it earlier this year.

Members of the group have enthusiastically learned the histories of the CPC, New China, socialist development, and the united front work, and shared their opinions in a WeChat-based reading group.

Liu Jiaqiang, deputy secretary-general of the CPPCC National Committee, said at the meeting that the Party history education will consolidate the trust in and support for the Party's leadership, build greater confidence in the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics, further foster patriotism and strengthen the united front.

Several participants shared their views at the meeting, saying that they will deepen their understanding of the Party's history and better fulfill their duties as a way to celebrate the CPC's centenary.
