Xia Baolong, vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, attended a reception held by the Russian Embassy in China on June 10 to celebrate Russia's National Day. 

Xia, who is also the president of the Chinese side of the China-Russia Friendship Committee for Peace and Development (CRFCPD), emphasized that the two sides should take the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Good Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation between China and Russia as an opportunity to push the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era to a new level.
