Zhang called for more efforts to increase the accessibility and affordability of medical services in rural areas and fully deliver the reforms launched by central and local governments.
During the visit, the research group of CPPCC members visited eight rural hospitals and 16 clinics in Yangqu and Qingxu counties of Taiyuan city as well as county-level Jiexiu city and Yuci district, both administered by Jinzhong city. Through face-to-face talks with medical workers, patients and local officials, they thoroughly explored issues including the operation, staffing and support of these institutions.
