A team led by Su Hui, vice-chairwoman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), visited a revolutionary memorial site in the Fragrant Hills area of suburban Beijing on June 2 as one of the ways to study the history of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

The 40-strong participants, mainly cadres from the working organs of the Central Committee of the Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League (TDSL), visited Shuangqing Villa, where Chairman Mao Zedong worked and lived, and the former offices and residences of other members of the older generation of revolutionaries including Zhu De, Liu Shaoqi, Zhou Enlai and Ren Bishi.

Su, who is also chairwoman of the TDSL Central Committee, and other team members visited two exhibitions at the revolutionary memorial museum in the Fragrant Hills.

Participants said this tour helped revitalize the history of the CPC and inspired them to forge ahead in marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC.
