Xia Baolong, vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee and president of the Chinese side of the China-Russia Friendship Committee for Peace and Development (CRFCPD), met with Andrey Denisov, Russian ambassador to China, in Beijing on May 31. 

The two sides exchanged ideas on how to effectively implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, as well as how to take the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Good Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation between China and Russia as an opportunity to deepen cooperation between the two countries in various areas, enhance non-governmental exchanges, and carry forward the idea of the everlasting friendship between China and Russia.
