Liu Xincheng, vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, led a survey of CPPCC members' reading activity in Southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and South China's Hainan province from April 23 to 27.

Pointing out that reading and learning are of fundamental importance to the CPPCC system and have always been one of its key tasks, Liu called on CPPCC members to combine their reading with learning of Party history and to explore new methods that can improve the quality of their reading.
